A woman has told a court that she felt “hunted” by a former teacher during a series of alleged sexual assaults that spanned several years in the late 1970s. William Lloyd-Lavery, the former teacher, denies all accusations.
Allegations of Abuse
The complainant, whose identity is protected, detailed a harrowing period between 1974 and 1979, during which she claims Lloyd-Lavery subjected her to repeated sexual assaults. She recounted a specific incident where she alleges the assault occurred in a stationery cupboard.
A Climate of Fear
Describing the lead-up to the alleged assaults, the woman told the court that she felt a pervasive sense of dread and vulnerability. She stated that the repeated nature of the alleged abuse created a feeling of being constantly targeted and pursued by her teacher.
Further testimony is expected as the trial continues.
