The Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) has marked another milestone by facilitating the start of AirSial’s flight operations at Quetta International Airport, bringing new travel convenience to the region.
According to officials, AirSial launched its Karachi–Quetta route on Friday, with three flights scheduled every week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. The new service is expected to provide passengers with more choice and improved connectivity between the two cities.
The first flight on this route, AirSial Flight 161, arrived in Quetta at 3:15 pm. Operated by an Airbus A320, the aircraft carried 180 passengers, reflecting strong initial demand. Shortly afterward, the return flight departed for Karachi at 4:32 pm with 199 passengers on board.
To mark the occasion, an inauguration ceremony was held at Quetta International Airport. The event was attended by the Airport Manager, senior officials from the Airport Security Force (ASF) and Air Traffic Control (ATC), representatives of the Pakistan Airports Authority, AirSial officials, flight crew, and other key airport stakeholders.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Airport Manager said Quetta International Airport has significant passenger potential and is fully equipped with the necessary aviation and passenger handling facilities to support more flights and future expansion of airline networks.
