A senior coroner has ruled that David, a 47-year-old Welsh Labour politician and Member of the Senedd, died by suicide by hanging. The ruling came in a record of inquest delivered by Senior Coroner Caroline Saunders.
Circumstances of Death
David was found unresponsive at his home address in Nelson, Caerphilly county, on August 12th of last year. His death occurred the day before his 48th birthday.
Tributes and Political Career
David was a prominent figure within the Welsh Labour party and was described as a “powerful voice” by Keir Starmer, leader of the UK Labour Party. He served as a Member of the Senedd, representing his constituents and contributing to Welsh political discourse.
